Our sustainability strategy and targets are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. We believe that sustainable, profitable growth is key to our present and future success. To strengthen our efforts to make our products and services more sustainable for the benefit of our customers, we have integrated sustainability with our business strategy.
91% Recyclability
Our top-selling platform lift model, the Cibes A5000, has a calculated lifetime of 25 years* and is recyclable to 91%.
Lift modernisation
We offer a wide range of upgrades and modernisation kits to make it easy for you to extend the lifecycle of your lift.
Safety first
The health and safety of our employees, customers and partners are top priorities and a prerequisite for our business.
Energy label A
The EcoSilent drive system allows our lifts to carry Energy Label A and reduces the energy consumption of the lift by 45%.
*25 years is the calculated lifetime in the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the Cibes A5000. The lifetime of individual lifts can be longer or shorter than the calculated 25 years, depending on factors such as the frequency of use, the yearly number of maintenance visits, upgrades etc.
Environmental Product Declarations
Cibes A5000 and Cibes C1 Pure have Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), offering you standardised, third-party verified documentation of the lift’s environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. The EPDs enable you to compare the environmental performance of our lifts to lifts of other manufacturers and make our lifts eligible for projects that need to comply with green building certification programs, such as BREEAM, LEED, or DGNB.

Sustainability report summary

Circularity
Product lifecycle and waste management are key in our strategy to achieve a circular business model. We strive to maximise the use of recycled materials in our products, but responsible waste management at the end of product lifecycle is just as important.
Efforts to reduce our greenhouse emissions
We work towards transparent reporting of our greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the guidelines of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG), focusing on identifying and addressing the major sources of emissions within our value chain. The installation of solar panels as a source of energy for lift production, the ongoing transition to fossil-free vehicles and initiatives to increase recycling are examples of our continuous efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
